I recommend slub instead:

CONFIG_SLUB=y
CONFIG_SLUB_DEBUG=y

I think you need to enable the actual kmem debugging with a boot param
("slub_debug=ZF"), or with CONFIG_SLUB_DEBUG_ON=y.
